Assorted deities have shown themselves in my life. They've appeared before me via astral sight, taken over my senses and given me a vision, and just shown up IN me.
Those are the most bizzar. I can feel their body, but also my own, kind of like a double-exposed photo.
The best was when Ur-Heru showed up while I was driving and I had to tell him that listening to him and driving at 80 miles an hour at night while feeling blind in one eye from him is, I dunno... kind of difficult.

I haven't had a deity or guardian appear before me or posess me or anything like that, but I have had a voice in the back of my head that has always told me when something bad was going to happen: and it hasn't been wrong yet. This voice also gives me wisdom that I myself never remember acquiring in my life so far. It is nameless, it is shapeless, but it is there nonetheless.

:) Sounds kind of like the Holy Guardian Angel that Crowley speaks of.

Excuse me for being a dunce, but who might the Crowley you speak of be? I know too many references to the name to really be sure. I seem to drown in the ocean of my own mind.
(Note: I am truly confused, no insults intended.)

Aleister Crowley - named one of the wickedest men in history. Also on hell of a magician.

I, respectfully, disagree about the magician part, Thrasher. Though I do respect at least his definition of magic, if not his attempts at application.
I think that his "Wickedest Man in the World" title is somewhat challenged today (I think I showered three times after reading Long Hard Road Out of Hell by Marilyn Manson).
But anyway. I think I'll do something I don't normally do, which is give credit to stories of guardian angels, spirits, and otherworldly beings. Or at least speculate.
True Story: Some time ago (three, four years), I was still what you would call a "spiritualist." Gods, angels, demons, wolves, elves, all of that. Looking back (as anybody who remembers) it was sort of embarrassing teen behavior. But there was some good that came out of it.
Something odd that happened, one night I woke up and saw what I thought was a Demon. It very well could have been simply a matter of not have my senses all the way. But it was thought provoking. Said Demon was demanding something from me at the time for some service. I don't know that it had performed any service (or even that it had really existed), but I didn't think so immediately so I told my visitor to go away and come back when it actually did something for me.
Thankfully, its been some time since then and now I don't deal with the whole spiritual realm deal. But here's the fun part. I was being silly with a ouija board one day (boredom) and I got a response from a being claiming to be called simply "9", which then also claimed to be the Demon from years before.
Of course, this is all probably just a silly psychological trick, but its still something that I wonder about from time to time. I'm skeptical, but to some extent I think I'll always be open to experiences like this.

I have had a visit from one of the goddesses out there...of course her words and actions were cryptic as usual until I put them and the real world together. It's kind of personal, maybe I'll write about it someday but not now.
I also had visits from one of the horses at the barn once, but I don't think he was being a guardian as much as he was telling me that he is in a better place and also the story of how he died. I have neither seen nor heard him since, so I'm guessing that was just a way of providing closure for everyone closely involved with him. Here's the story on that (http://www.werewolf.com/vb/showthread.php?t=126 47).
Other than that, I just have what people tend to call "women's intuition."

No spiritual guardians to speak of. My grandfather has appeared a few times in dreams, and given vague words of advice - vague enough to not remember! The only thing he ever told me to do was not to eat meat - but this was two weeks after I had stopped, anyway, so I am skeptical of the entire thing.
That said, I have become aware of some spirits while on psychedelic drugs, and I triggered some memories - which the more logical part of me considers to be nothing BUT drugs - of a past life, where I was a Japanese soldier that was born to liberal parents of fisherman stock in the 1920s, that served in Indochina during the Second World War, and that later died quite undramatically in a nursing home, in 1989. I was a bit of a patriot and a nationalist as a youth, and I was quite disappointed that we had lost the war, but, in the 1960s or so, I eventually came to understand that Japan's war had not been just - although I didn't like Americans, either. Hahaha. The few memories I have are quite vivid, even months after what triggered them, and I can sort of think in the same ways as "Yoshi" would think - I can't remember his name, so I just call him Yoshi, for convenience - and so I SORT of consider him a spiritual guardian. More like: a hidden part of me. Yoshi is, to me, a symbolic aspect of my personality.
Heh. But, as I say, only 50% of me believes this is true. That 50% tends to dominate, though, if only because I like it more.

Yeah you just lost any remaining ability I had to take you seriously.
Here's a hint: What you see on drugs IS NOT REAL. This thread wasn't supposed to be about what you saw when you were last high.
As for my guardians, I used to "see" my totems, but not anymore. Overactive imagination I would gamble. I do still believe in them though.

I can't remember ever 'seeing' a guardian that I would give credit to. However I am positive I have one. Through my life I give little support to coincidence. I do not necessarily believe in fate but when something happens under the most amazing circumstances I feel it was supposed to happen that way. Anyhow back to my story, a few years ago I got in a little trouble with drinking and driving (stupid). I was stopped and taken to the police station and I remember praying that if I got out of this I would change my life around. Weirdly enough I only got a 12 hour suspension. To solidify my belief that someones looking out for me when I went to the impound the next day it was closed. I called the company and they said the only one with the keys left for Ottawa and would be hours to get back. I was devasted with the fact that I would have to tell my parents and wondered what I was going to do. Hopeless I started walking away and out of the corner of my eye I see a red car driving down the road. To this day I don't know why it caught my eye but I started running back to the impound. By the most amazing 'coincidence' it just so happened to be the owner of the company who stopped on his way out of town. As it turns out he got me my car back and I truly feel that something heard my prayer of the night before. The odds of such an occurance are slim enough that I feel someones looking out for me. Needless to say I really did clean my life up.:)
