Has anyone had a dream where they die? I had two of them and I was wondering if I should take a hint and leave the country or ignore them.

I have died in numerous ways in my dreams. The first few times can be alarming but you rather get used to it, besides I always like what happens after I die in the dream.

I like the dreams where it's lucid (meaning I feel things as if it was real) and that sucks at first.. feeling a knife slice into your back or throat is not pleasant.. but I like the experience of being a ghost afterwards or "finally knowing about heaven and hell". etc. Interesting. Nothing to be taken seriously, dreams should rarely be taken seriously, but intriguing nevertheless.

To dream of death is to predict life. Some people say the more a man dreams of death, the longer he lives. That is only myth.

Feeling the last beat of my heart doesn't not encourage a pleasant waking. I never dream past that point; I only feel the darkness.

Is it common for humans to dream about what happens after death?

i've had a few dreams where i've died but i'll post my most interesting.

I had a dream where I woke up and smelled smoke. I sat up and it was strange like I was sitting and laying down at the same time. After a moment I thought "I'm dead". I felt so peaceful like everything was alright and nothing would ever be wrong again, but more than that like nothing had ever been wrong either. It was a feeling I can't describe any better than that it was just so wonderful. Probably the closest I'll ever come to heaven in life.

that's it. it was so nice.

I've had dreams of dying, and I've had friends who said they had dreams of seeing me die. 'nuff said, I think...

I've dreampt of dying, and most of the time I simply "respawn" at the beginning of another dream, as though nothing had happened. Of course, there are exceptions like dreaming of the afterlife. I dreampt once that I got shot in the head (which was not pleasant). But it was not a silver bullet, so I did not die that time.
