I know the feeling. I used to pray that stupidity would some day be painful and it is and I now realize I should have been more specific. It should be painful to the stupidity's source, not those subjected to it.

If you really think your a werewolf, I'm sure there are people in white coats that would LOVE to speak with you.
If you really ARE a werewolf, as you seem to be saying, give us some proof. As in, find my by my sent, and shift in front of me. Then, I just may believe you. Till then *shifts into Super Monkey Mode* I will fling poo at you *flings poo*

There is allot of things that just isn't fair. But let me get this through your head. Your not a werewolf, you never where, you will never be one, and you will never find a God that is all about werewolves. If you decide to drop all this crap about being a werewolf and start praying to some neo-pagan-hippie religion that is your choice, hell that would be superb! But don't feed us any bullshit.

Religion is religion, regardless of what you are. I'm female and all the religions that exist are still open to me. I also have breasts, yet all the religions in existence are still available to me. I'm also a health nut, yet all the religions on this earth are available to me. I'm also a therianthrope, yet all of the religions are still available to me.
Are you starting to get my drift?
Just because you think you're a werewolf doesn't mean there is specifically a religion for you. It's about personal choice and personal belief.
Besides, if werewolves DID exist, I imagine there would already be numerous First Werewolf Churches of the True Weres.
But there isn't.
A spiritual or religious choice is up to you because you are still human.
So, I don't think there is a religion specifically for werewolves.
I'm getting kind of tired of this guy.
I'm almost thinking he just came in here for the attention and to possibly rile things up. Chances are he's aware that this is not a forum for tr00 w3r3s.
In fact, this reminds me of something. You know how when a puppy/dog/child isn't paid enough attention to or neglected, it starts chewing on your furniture because negative attention is better than no attention at all?
Ya.

That is exactly why these "true weres" come here. They are usually in their early teens, emo, thinking mom and dad don't love them, whining because they have no friends and everyone hates them. They want to be special so they log on here to get the attention they want. Unfortunately most of us don't believe in werewolves, despite the domain name. So they are utterly disappointed and usually leave and find some other site to go be stupid at. Some site that makes them feel like they are some special star.
In response to the original post, no there is no religion for werewolves because they do not exist.

Having a "religion" for werewolves doesn't work....cause werewolves technically don't exist. Having a "religion" for Therians is like having a religion exclusively for people with brown hair. You couldn't base a religion on people with brown hair....because there's nothing there. No ethical structure, no doctrines, no universal truths. Just brown hair.

Daciana's hit it on the nail. Even if such a mythological creature was real, it'd have no specific religion for itself, just like none of the different human races do. If you disagree with that, then show me a religion that was designed completely for beaners and no one else.

Hitler tried to start a religion for people that met 'certain idealistic physical qualifications' and would have probably succeeded if, you know, he didn't go all 'hating and attacking everyone else who didn't meet his requirements or didn't like it'. I'm so glad that the Co$ hasn't gotten its hand on a government, or else we'd be looking at a WWII/Holocaust repeat.

They're not major explosions but I blow things up on a fairly regular basis, and it'd be a daily basis if I lived somewhere that was more convenient for blowing things up than a 2nd story apartment with no balcony.

Okay, I just found this thread and I have read the previous posts by all of you. In my opinion, werewolves are freaking sweet! But, there's a catch to it, just like when telemarketers call you and say you get a prize, but when you get there, they make you watch a stupid presentation. There is always going to be a catch in something like this.
What I believe about werewolves and their 'religion'....
I have heard and read that werewolves are the hound of Hell. So, if they are from Hell, then shouldn't they be Satanist? I mean, they could be Christian or whatever, but I only mean that if someone was bitten by a werewolf and the victim was Christian or whatever religion. Even though, people try to prove me wrong that werewolves don't exist, I don't believe that because no one can change my mind and I'm not afraid to speak my mind. I'll be back in a bit, I have to eat dinner :drooling:

Chill man. It's not about disliking you, it's about disliking the content of your posts, specifically that they're not generally backed up with logic. You can't just state things (particularly things considered outlandish, such as "werewolves exist") like they are fact without some sort of logic to back it up.
I am not afraid to speak my mind, no matter the consequences, I stay true to myself.
I support you in speaking your mind, I really do. I'm a pretty big advocate of such. However, you need to always take into consideration the possible consequences of speaking your mind since not everyone will appreciate the thoughts or the way you're expressing them. If you want to blatantly and openly state that werewolves are real you do have to accept that you'll be terribly flamed for it.
Price we pay for speaking our minds. I'm banned from several places for it. :)

Well, there actually could be. Depending on if you being a werewolf required you to follow a certian religion or not (my book is a good example of this; terrible things are done to werewolves or vampires that don't serve their Moon). Of course, in reality, there is none since werewolves don't exist.

It's still fascinating! How different religions evolve in different regions is based on the nature of the people and the area they live in (the desert people said the world ends in fire, the Nords said it would end in ice). So I've actually had a lot to work with in figuring out what kind of religion they would have and if they'd have a savior and what their holy works would be, how they would be likely to worship. After I had everything figured out I'd often flesh it out just for fun, so I've got a few complete werewolf religions lying around that are set up so you could actually practice them.

At least you don't bring it up constantly or try to convince us to believe with you. So long as you acknowledge that, scientifically speaking, there's nothing to support their existence, I don't find a problem with this. To believe that there's a werewolf somewhere may seem outlandish, but so too are most religious and spiritual beliefs if you get right down to them.

Yes. Click on the person's name, go to their profile, and click on "Add ___ to Your Ignore List".
First of all, what am I arguing about? Secondly, your comment doesn't make any sense at all. How can you believe in something when you know it doesn't exist?
Somehow I don't think a kid at school is really going to take you any more seriously than us. Besides which, an ex of mine was Satanist and I'm pretty sure she didn't run around with werewolves, practicing Satanism.
1. Thanks. It's starting to sound like myspace now. lol
2. Why do people believe in aliens ,even though with the knowledge here today, we don't know or not that they exist?
3. Well, it's worth a try. He could have a werewolf.com account or he could be using pentagrams and 9 foot circles every full moon. Do you see any other religions that believe in werewolves or summon them or whatever? This could be the only chance.
Oh and TC, Tempest already told me so I know where it is now, but thanks for showing me.

2. Why do people believe in aliens ,even though with the knowledge here today, we don't know or not that they exist?
Because the idea that there is an alien lifeform, somehwere in this universe that we haven't even seen all of, is a LOT easier to accept than werewolves. Why? Because aliens haven't (that I know of) been proven to be impossible. Transformation from human to wolf, however, is impossible.

What do pentagrams and 9 foot circles have to do with anything? Because first of all, Satanists don't all practice magic. And those that do definately don't "summon werewolves". Nobody "summons werewolves" because they don't exist! Perhaps you should read about Satanism (http://www.religioustoleran ce.org/satanism.htm) because I don't think you understand it.

Actually all we've proven is that it's impossible in any way we understand. It's very likely impossible, however there is always the chance that it works in some way we have not yet conceived of.

Yes, but we haven't proven a lot of things completely impossible. It's very difficult, if not impossible, to prove things impossible. Much easier to prove that they are possible. That doesn't mean you can't say 'well seeing as there is a .00001% chance of werewolves existing, they probably aren't real'.

That doesn't mean you can't say 'well seeing as there is a .00001% chance of werewolves existing, they probably aren't real'.This is easy - wolf (fact) + man (fact) = wolfman (or wolfwoman if you like). Or lets try this one; cry (me) + baby (me again) = uhh, forget that example.
So I vote YES; werewolves do follow God.
Counts in; 1 for yes, 0 for no, = werewolves do pray!

odd.
i would have thought sure that i, or somebody else would have brought this point up...
but a quick check of my own posts indicates that i did not do so and a fast skim of others does not seem to show that anyone else has yet (though i could be wrong...speedreading is not my strong suit)...
so...
there is the legend of the Benandanti, the "Hounds of Heaven", a group of werewolves who may be thought of as God's Dog Soldiers (literally).
at least three times a year they lay siege to the Gates of Hell, legend says to retrieve the harvest stolen by those mortals who serve Satan and return same to the peasant farmers...i would also imagine that any of the Benandanti who manage to get inside the City of Woe are also on the hunt for any "lost souls" they might be able to liberate and take as far at least as Purgatory for a chance at redemption, if not at least to the Gates of Paradise for a review of their case.
so...do werewolves have a religion?
maybe yes...
maybe no...
kind of depends on the werewolf, don't it?
:D

Uhh Greg I think you might be mixing things up here. The Benandanti were actually persecuted by the Church for being heretics and later for idolatry by the Roman Inquisition. They didn't generally follow the Christian version of God. They DID supposedly fight evil witches though, but they were pagan. Also, they took the form of different animals, not just wolves.

Though wikipedia is not THAT accurate, I doubt someone could be arsed to make this up for an unusual word.

Uh, does anyone even bother to SEE that there are sources at the bottom of just about EVERY wikipedia article? Yeah, someone didn't just make this up.
Also, Wikipedia isn't the only source that verifies that information.

Considering the only source was 2 books by Carlo Ginzburg, I think we can forgive people for being abit sceptical, Vendetta.

There are other SOURCES other than those two books. Man do you people NOT research this shit, or what? I mean there's like the whole internet at your fingertips (http://justfuckinggoogleit. com/).

No, I don't.
I'm sorry if this bothers but I have more important things to do, tbh...
Anyway, the Internet is by it's very nature flawed. I'd much rather have a single book as a reference then a thousand Internet pages.

So? You've got both. Goddamn you people are lazy. Also, I'm pretty sure internet pages authored by reputable authors are just as viable as a book. Killing a tree doesn't make certain words more valid than digital ones. You fail.

it seems to be the cyber/Net version of "Talk to the hand!" (or, if you're a cat type..."Talk to the butt!" :D ).
in real time folks like that would just go "Pfft! I'm outta here! Not going to waste my time with the likes of you people!" or some other "witty" remark not deserving of even an attempt at an original comeback.
