I hardly ever remember my dreams and when I do most of the time my memory fades away like yours. You could always write your dreams down while you still remember them and then figure out what they mean later, though most people don't have time in the mourning to do this.

The memory fade thing is a common thing. Hell sometimes if your like me its gone by the time light hits your eyes. Writing is a good way to remember them (like everybody else said) and if you want recording them verbally on a tape recorder can work too.

I had a similar thing happen to me last night. I know a had a fantastic dream, but I can't remember what it was about. It wasn't a dream as such, I kind of had a spiritual realisation while I was asleep. I kinda get this feeling that in my dream I was talking to someone who was explaining something to me (but I can't be sure) all I remember is that I suddenly found a new (and brilliant) persective in my spiritual life. I woke up feeling really excited, but still sleepy so I made a point of memorising the dream while I was still semi concious and going over and over this new found concept that had come to me in my dream to see if it still made sense now I was (semi) awake and it did. I really wanted to remember what it was that i had learnt in that dream, because it made so much sense and I knew I had to share it with other were's. Unfortunately I got up this morning and I couldn't remember what it was that I had learned in my dream. It's really annoying cos I'm sure it was important. :( If it comes back to me I'll let you know.

I always remember my dreams. But sometimes I'll kind of lose something I've just drempt of, or start to lose it and I'm like "Wait... what was DID I dream about.." and then remember it and go "OH YEA"
If you have trouble remembering your dreams and you want to, when you get up from sleeping right down what you rememeber. Then you'll remember! lol

I've just realised after reading some of these other forum messages that I don't seem to remember my dreams in as much detail as most of you :)

II'm like "Wait... what was DID I dream about.." and then remember it and go "OH YEA"

I sometimes think 'what was that...' and then carry on thinking that because the dream has already flown ... although I believe that trying to remember dreams every morning will increase your ability to recall them.

I did a search on google for 'remember' + 'dreams' and most of the pages say the same thing - write them down as soon as you can, and over time you will remember your dreams more and more clearly, however this might take several months...

The only thing that worries me with this method, is sometimes if I'm woken slowly, (like by the sound of barking dogs :)), it seems that by the time I realise I'm awake my dream has been so messed around with I can't remember a thing ... I just hope it really does get easier with practise.
