Gaah! :banghead: I wanna learn about wicca but my mum has blocked all sites to do with it and I haven't been able to find any books on it that I can afford! Anyone have any advice plz because I don't think it's fair that she should be allowed to choose what I do with my faith and my time!!

That will fix that.

Xbox is that bad - if it offends you in ANY way, let me know, I'll have it off in two seconds.
It's just a gamer joke. I don't support Hitler in ANY way folks :p

Not an anti-semite though.
I'm not going to worry about it, put the good ol' Cyclops up there. Hatless no less.

use kazaa or kazaa lite - go to documents - type in "ebook" and you'll get several documents on Wicca. Good luck! :D

YEs. I would suggest going to the public library and using the internet there (most places have them). You might also search for the internet at your school. You never know. You could try a friend's house, a cybercafe, your place of business, the airport, or maybe a computer store. All of those places might have one.
Or you could look for some wiccan magazines. I don't remember what any of them are called, but I seen em last time I was in the hippie bookstore. Or get a wiccan friend of yours to email you some crap.
If all else fails... HACK! Hack your parents' account, or hack your way through the firewall or whatever. Just don't forget to go to your personal settings and hit "purge history", just in case somebody looks.
For the record, let me tell you that I think wicca is a huge steaming load! But I abhor fascist censorship MUCH more than a few wacked out quasi-goth chicks. So go get as much wiccan stuff as you can!!

Let me acquaint you with the Wiccan Rede:
"Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill,
An' ye harm none, do what ye will."
I don't think violence fits well with the Wiccan Philosophy.

The Rede is a guideline, nothing more. Human nature being what it is will ocassionally slip into the darkness of evil. Most recover. Some however find the darkness intoxicating, and with all addictions it must be constantly fed. Hopefully your friend will find a way out. :)

Actually the short webbie version of the Rede is:
Abide by Wiccans laws ye must
In perfect love, in perfect trust
Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill
An it harms none, do as ye will
Always follow the law of three
What ye gives forth comes back to thee
(thats all i can remember folks, theres 2 more lines to it though, got any wiccan question im me pagansomone@yahoo.co m or email me psycho-kitty@wildmail.com or just pm me. im around a lot.)
heres my site http://www.geocities.com/sailorkitt/h_ashes.html
its not very interactive but its got info and nothing should be able to block out geocities, it surpasses all firewalls and other shit.

Hah! Yeah, it's not a violent religion, I mean I saw the end of a spell once and the words were:
'And let it be done
And let it harm no one'
But I don't have to use wicca for my violence... ;)
Oh, and thanx for the website, I'm checking it out now

That's not the Rede... You're quoting the CREDO. That didn't come about until the 1900's the actual Rede is much much older.

The Rede is still the Rede and the Credo is still the Credo. Just because SOME information is wrong doesn't mean all of it is. The knowledge of the Rede didn't come from that site. I just posted it to show the difference between the two.
The Credo cites the Rede "An' It Harm None, Do As Ye Will." but the Rede is far older than the Credo. The Rede is in formal English or Old English. The Credo uses more modern English. The Wiccan Rede was an oral tradition passed down from generation to generation and was never really written down until the Credo came into being.

Well actually the Rede has been written down but it is extremely hard to find.

I think that Rede is a load. I prefer the Werewolf Rede, which although devoid of words, seems to advocate violence, eating, running, and howling as its main principals.

Main Entry: 2rede
Function: noun
1 chiefly dialect : COUNSEL, ADVICE
2 archaic : ACCOUNT, STORY
Main Entry: cre·do
Pronunciation: 'krE-(")dO, 'krA-
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural credos
Etymology: Middle English, from Latin, I believe
: CREED
Main Entry: creed
Pronunciation: 'krEd
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English crede, from Old English crEda, from Latin credo (first word of the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds), from credere to believe, trust, entrust; akin to Old Irish cretid he believes, Sanskrit srad-dadhAti
1 : a brief authoritative formula of religious belief
2 : a set of fundamental beliefs; also : a guiding principle
- creed·al or cre·dal /'krE-d&l/ adjective
According to that, the credo would be "An ye harm none, do what ye will," and the rede would be the longer version. WahteverKittyK has it right. The above is from webster.com (http://www.webster.com)
And by the way, the rede (the longer version) can be read in Old English or modern English, just like the credo (the shorter version). The modern credo would be, "If you harm none, do what you will."

This just shows how uneducated you are. "wacked out quasi-goth chicks"? How is that for a stereotypical predjudice remark? It is a religion. Men and women all over the world, from all different backgrounds worship. You should do research on it. There a lot of BS books and websites out there, but there are still a few that give an acurate portrayal of the religion. Try Wicca For The Solitary Practitioner it is a good one. I just hate when people run thier mouths about things the don't understand.
