I had a dream about a week ago which I think is the main reason I found this site ... it's already beginning to fade, and even straight afterwards I couldn't remember how it began, but I do remember that near the end I dreamed that because I had helped someone they transformed me/gave me the ability to transform into a wolf (can't exactly remember which). For some reason though I only looked like Wolverine from the x-men, ie slightly pointy hair. Then I remember seeing a wolfcub or maybe it was a puppy, and I felt saddened because I knew that canines don't live as long as humans; although this didn't see to worry me, I just felt the sort of bitter-sweet sadness you get at the end of some dreams...

Now I don't know whether this has any meaning. I'll play devil's advocate here and say that I think dreams are very often influenced by TV, at least the visual images you see in dreams. This could explain why I can't remember having many dreams about werewolves, because I haven't seen many werewolf movies :) and also why I dreamed about Wolverine, because I'd watched the x-men movie a few days before.

Now, before visiting this site I'd never heard of words like therianthrope. And I'm sure I am human in soul - if the soul is the centre of you and your consciousness how could you be an intelligent being if you didn't have a human soul? Although some consider there to be many levels of soul, for example some see the spirit as something closer to this earth and not the same as a soul which leaves the body after death. So that probably depends on what terminology you use...

Anyway that's this confused dream chaser has to say for now... :)

I find that dreams convey a thousand meanings, but usually only one or two meanings are actually useful. Maybe you think deep down that being able to change shape is an incredible gift, and so had a dream about it. You never know... you could go check through the books at barnes and noble. They have tons of things on dream intrepretation.

I thought of a more mundane meaning today - one of our dogs is getting quite old; maybe I was just being reminded of our pets' mortality...
