View Full Version : A dream I can't stop thinking about...

I had this dream a few days ago. It's not hard to decifer what most of it means, but I wanted to see what some of you thought about it.

The dream starts off with me in a dark forest. I love being surrounded by nature, but this place bothered me. Stepping from behind a tree trunk, my former English 1 teacher said to me, "Always remember how words will save you."(reference to my being a poet)
I walked away from her, deeper into the woods. I came to a reflective puddle, which I stepped into. The world flipped around me, as if walking into the puddle was like walking through a door. I walked into a hallway from my highschool. Everyone who has ever brought me pain or made me hate myself was standing there, except for my brother. They all began to laugh at me and make fun of me. I just looked down and began to cry. Their screaming was a crescendo. When it seemed like the sound could be no louder, I heard, "I love you." resound above it all. I closed my eyes, and drew two pistols from beneath my jacket. With closed eyes, and screaming, I pulled the triggers until the clips were empty. Now silent, I opened my eyes. They were all dead. The bodies were knee-deep. Only one other person stood. A girl who hurt me a great deal, who I thought I loved, walked over to me. She had been shot a number of times in the chest and stomach. Without saying a word, we began kissing. She had been bleeding from the mouth, and I could taste it. She pulled me closer and put her leg around me. I slid my hand up her shirt, at which time my hand came into contact with one of the gun-shot wounds. It was a painful reminder. The wound disappeared, as did the taste of blood. We stopped kissing. She looked at me with love in her eye. I tasted blood again. The gunshot wounds were all of my chest and stomach. She said, "You don't think you will find anyone better, but you will try."
I stumbled back, and fell into a mirror. Instead of shattering, I fell through the mirror.
Back in the woods, I looked through the mirror to see her looking back at me. The glass shattered. I was in pain. I stumbled to the edge of a cliff. Since I was dieing, I decided to fall. So, I let myself fall. Something caught me, and swung me back onto the ground. I opened my eyes, and kneeling beside me was a girl I love as my sister. She was crying. She leaned down and kissed me on the cheek. All my wounds were gone. She said, "Hey, brother." I smiled and said, "Hey, sister."

I woke up. What do you all think?

Heh, thats one cool dream, uh, in a way. It is pretty easy to figure out a meaning and all but it is very strange still. I dont know, its a good story for an anime though :p

ditto here, but really this dream might lean back towards that saying, "Every rose has it's thorns, that's why love hurts".
Maybe there are people that decieve you, such as your dream girl and you can get yourself into some deep situations, but your family and or friends will stay behind you every step of the way, because THEY love you.

AS for the dark forest part. Perhaps, since you've been in the woods, that this is one part you dislike, one part you fear from it, or could simply signify insecurity

And i did that all without refering to my book, these are my opinions, if anyone asks :buttrock:

Thanks for the response!
Yes, the dream could be a cool anime. :p
NIghtmare, I agree with everything you said. It was all dead on. You mentioned a book, may I ask which book it is?

10,000 Dreams Interperted or What's in a dream?

I usualy use that to define dreams, but it's become such an unreliable source except to my dreams

I'm just impressed on how well you remembered it. I only have two dreams that i can recall like that. My Carlin Shark Dream, and my Cough#@/\/t@$?>/cough dreams that i have with my dream girl

Most of the time, if something wakes me up during a dream, I remember it. The dreams I do remember always have a horror movie feel to them, or a noir-like quality. Some of the dreams have no endings, because of when I wake up. I rarely dream the same thing twice.

Are those books easy to come by?
