Ghosts, Spirits and the Like

I hope this is in the right forum.

I haven't seen any mention of this topic and I guess I got curious. Does anybody else believe in ghosts or ghost-hunts or is a medium or any jazz like that? I, myself, wanted to be a medium and got my wish. I have a lot of fine tuning to do with such an ability, but I find I somehow come into contact with ghosts and/or spirits every here and there, whether I'm looking for them or they find me. I usually hear or sense them. Fortunately, I have yet to meet a hostile one.

I might of even caught one on tape from a ghosthunt I was on. My brother, who had been taping at the time, was focusing on something else and said he didn't notice anything unusual, but when we played it back, a humanoid figure was found. My roommate at the time, was an animal control officer and took it to the local P.D. to have an expert check it out. He said it was an actual person, but I'm not ready to call it man or ghost just yet. I would of believed the officer, but the movements of this "figure" were so quick. I tried to get other people to mimmick it's movements and none of the people who attempted could move as fast. I wish I had a way to put this footage online so I could show you all, because I would like to hear your guys' opinions on it.

I also have pictures with orbs, but they were taken with a digital camera (I've read scattered reports that digital cameras will create their own orbs because they can put in the right color of pixels in certain lights) so I doubt they're authentic.

Anywho, anyone else here share such interests or have some interesting pics to show off?

I believe there is certainly something, I've seen and felt too much personally to deny that. Though whether or not it's the souls of deceased humans or something else I couldn't tell you.

A good friend of mine is a psychic medium, he's very good at it from what I've heard, I've only ever witnessed some of his other abilities. Some of the stories he has told me managed to scare the crap out of me - I'll never use a Ouija thanks to what he told me and was later corroborated by a completely seperate and highly cynical source. In short, he described something to me which another friend, who's skeptical at best usually, has an unfortunate gift of being able to "see".

My own "gift" seems to be limited to a feeling of extreme discomfort when something of this nature is near, there are places I will not go, indeed cannot go, the feeling is so intense.

As for energy orbs, I took some photos at night at Avebury in Wiltshire which has a couple of orbs in it, though again this was done with a digital camera and as you rightly say, digicams can corrupt data in ways like this. For those of you that don't know, Avebury is a giant stone circle with a village in the middle and unlike it's neighbour, Stonehenge, still has some of the "energy" left of it's former glory. Psychic phenomena are not unheard of in this area. My own "gift" kicks in here at night (I'm terrified of one of the larger stones for some reason), and I still can't look upon Silbury Hill (another ancient landmark nearby) without a feeling of great dread coming over me.

Which stone? As in, which cardinal direction was it in? Shape? Size?

I believe in ghosts, but I think maybe only 1% of the stories you hear are actually legit. I don't know what to think about mediums, I'm sure actors could do the same thing but I've never been a medium before so I can't say.

I think ghosts are kind of like the energy left over when someone dies. If someone was murdered there would be a lot of violent energy left behind, if someone died peacefully maybe the ghost would appear and give a feeling of comfort to someone who is distressed. It's just my opinion, though.
