At the risk of sounding like someone opining about a stupid dream, I will say that I had a strange one the other night.
I say it's kind of like a sellout because the dream involved that most corporate of RPing werewolf tools, the klaive (Check your WW: TA books if you don't get it).
I was standing there with a klaive in my hand, and this other werewolf was there, darting around and cutting me. The klaive was not silver, but of a carved obsidian, and it had a different shape at the back, so that it could be weilded in either direction by either hand. At first I was confused and very ticked off, because I didn't want to fight this guy and I didn't see the purpose of it. But then I realized that when he made a go at me, it wasn't for the purpose of doing harm (which he easily could have done many times over for my hesitation), it was just to make a cut. It was a game! Some kind of dueling game. Actually, it turned out to be rather fun. But we gave it up to turn completely wolfen and play a game that involved more running and chasing (which was more fun than the tool-game).
Anyway... I think there's a certain shallowness in the roleplaying reference, but then again there's a certain depth in the metaphor of understanding my lycanthropy better through fighting a werewolf. I don't know. I haven't played any RPG's in almost two years, so it seemed rather out-of-the-blue.

Maybe the thought was just a mental comparison to the klaive, it was what came up in your mind, because it was a 'werewolf tool.'
I think that obsidian wouldn't make much more than a small spearhead, or small dagger, because it would break if any bigger. Yes, its very sharp! But anyways, thats pretty cool. I've been having more dreams lately, but they're not nearly as vivid as yours.

It started out with me kissing some guy who looked rather gothic. He was afraid of a relationship or something along those lines, only I thought his lips were too big when I kissed him.
I guess it switched dreams after that. Because suddenly I was in some dome that had a lot of jungle life in it. There was a guy there who was beyond 6 feet tall with dark brown hair and was very built. He was trying to contain a thrashing anaconda into a wooden box. But he was having a really difficult time doing it, so I decided I would help out and try to get it in. I got it in successfully, then opened up to make sure it was in safely, only to have it pop out again. But we got it in again and it was finally secured. The guy turned to me and said, "Thanks for helping me get that snake in!" when I remembered I wanted to get out of that dome. The dome was part of some ride in a Disney World-like theme park. I guess I had lost the cart somehow and I became stranded on a one-rail track. I asked the guy for directions on how to get out of there, and he told me to go through a tunnel until I reach three glasphomirs (I don't know WHAT the heck a glasphomir is, it's just what he said.) and turn left. Then just keep walking.
Well, I followed his directions but they weren't quite what I expected. The glasphomirs, I thought, were these three large glass windows that glowed blue. So I turned there and I suppose I got lost. There wasn't a right turn after them, or at least it was too shadowy to see. I found myself going through a frighteningly dark tunnel, where there were lots of perversed circus and Disney icons. If you've ever heard of ICP or have ever seen those clowns with huge smiles but evil eyes then you may get the idea of how the tunnel was like. The setting was similar to Alice in Wonderland, only much darker and frightening. I started running, the entrance back to the jungle area was too far away, now. I swore I heard the cart that ran along the tracks was heading towards me from behind. I was afraid of it, so I ran as fast as I could, trying to find my way out. I came to this room that looked like a combination of Small World and The Wizard of Oz, but everything was still dark and if you still haven't gotten my point, terribly frightening. As I'm recalling as of now, I think I was holding something in my arm. It was either a pillow, or some kind of stuffed animal.
The Wizard of Oz/Small World room had a worker in it, and I was relieved to see him. So I tapped him on the shoulder and asked him how I could get out. He turned around, and as it turned out, he was a robot. He looked like Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and spoke to me in a hideously high voice like some kind of demented demon. "Be careful on the tracks! They produce electricity. Electricity is dangerous!" And with that, he pulls out a miniature lightsabre that's black with a white frame. It's flashing like crazy, and he comes after me with it. Or so I thought. I ran away from him, then turned around to see that he's just doing what he was programmed to do. Which apparently was tapping random things with the lightsabre and demonstrating how electricity is dangerous.
So I left the room and went into another room that was just a dead end. So I start panicking and look for another room. I found one, but it was some kind of Pee Wee's adventure through his house. Remember how he had appliances and furniture that had faces on them and stuff? Well, that's the setting now. Of course, it's still dark and frightening. The appliances and everything were luming over me as I was trying to find a way out. I found a door that looked like a giant doggy door, and when I went near it I heard a loud 'toot toot!' that a train makes, and I thought it was the ride coming. It wasn't, but I still ran through the door.
I woke up after that and saw the time on my alarm clock. The dream had made me paranoid enough that I was making sure that nothing from the dream was still in my room. Then I wondered how my friend was doing on her exam and I went back to sleep.
Now here's the strange part... the dream continued. I was sitting outside the Pee Wee's adventure door for a bit, then I got up and started running again, though avoiding the track so I wouldn't get electricuted. However, I did step on it every once in a while, only to shy away before anything happened. Then I heard something else running on the track, but I figured that it was just another sound and not the cart that carries people. Ironically enough, it was. There was a worker standing in front giving some kind of tour when he found me. He picked me up and put me on. I was wrapped up in a blanket and shivering because I was so scared, and I fell off a couple of times, only to be picked back up. Well, we finally reached the exit. There was a flash of a bright white light, and that was the end of a dream.

Ever since I've been in contact with my shapeshifting friend who'm I have a major thing for (I think he knows) I've been having more vivid dreams of wolves in my dreams. Usually, it takes place in the woods or lush green forest. The same wolf is always in my dreams chasing me,(not in a bloodthirsty way or anything) he's always by my side, or guarding me against this tall black wolf that trys to get near me. Later my wolfy changes into a man and then intimate stuff happens. But two nights ago, everything was different. It was in an abandoned desert setting. Me and this unknown wolf that stayed by my side were surrounded by a pack of agressive wolves. My wolfy is on the side of the agressive wolves, his pack and not with me. It seems like he wants to be with me but holds back and does nothing while I'm surrounded with this other wolf I've never seen. However, he is glaring at this wolf by my side, and growling. Could this dream have any meaning? I've had stranger dreams than this, this one is mild compared to the ones I've had in the past.

Well the first one.. is just u wanting to be with the person. But the second dream when your 'seperated' from this wolf you call 'wolfy' lol (I am guessing thats the nickname you call this shapeshifting friend of yours?) has some meaning to it. The other wolves around you keeping you from 'wolfy' symbolize something standing in your way from being with him. It could be anything really, could be family, friends or... you not wantint go ruin the friendship you have with him now. It also could mean your body has sensed something between both of you.. which means he may have feelings for you also.
Also, when I had a dream simular to this.. I was the wolf really and the girl i was madly in love with was being attacked by wolves and i couldnt do anything to stop it.. the next day she was shot and killed in front of my eyes and i couldn't do anything to stop it.. No im not saying your going to die or anything..

Thank you for responding to my post for whatever reason you did. It means something. I have had a lot more complicated dreams and also strange nightmares than this that are just totally confusing. I'm happy someone had some kind of input for me. If anyone else does, please feel free to let me know or PM me.

This is probably a very silly question, but I'm going to go on ahead and ask it anyways. Do you think it is possible that a dream can show you something that you're meant to do, or is simply just a dream?
In my case, show me the novel I'm supposed to write with all the vivid details laid out in front of me. If I close my eyes the dream just continues through my mind, or shows me something else I missed. I havn't had a spark of inspiration for a novel in weeks, and then all of the sudden I have this dream, can remember it vividly, and want to start writing.
Like I said, this is probably a dumb question, but I'm lousy at trying to figure out what my dreams mean, and thought maybe someone could give me some insight.

Well first off, there is no better interpreter then yourself simply because the dream came from you and it was your brain picking out bits and pieces of your wants, desires, and memories.
From my thoughts, a dream can tell you what you are going to do. That is of course, if you feel driven enough afterwards to persue what you're dream was talking about.
Sometimes a dream can also be cruel telling you what you should have done and how good that was going to be. In most cases thats just you wondering if you did the right thing. Just think at those times "I'm living, I had to have done the right" thing.
And sometimes, it is just a dream, composed of everything on your mind.

Some famous authors are inspired by their dreams all the time. Stephen King for one.
You should start a dream journal and see just how much your dreams do inspire you.

I, for one, not believing in fate or a preset destiny, don't think that a dream can show you what you are meant to do or what is going to happen. It may, however, speak for your subconscious and show you things you may have overlooked or passed by. That's never happened to me and I find it really interesting.

Dreams have an interesting way of inspiring us all. I love to write, so I completely understand. In fact I'm waiting for a hardbound copy of my first book to return so I can get a full US Library of Congress Copyright on it. I already have a "poor man's", point is..If you see yourself writing it there, then you follow up on it, with real zeal, chances are greater that you will make it manifest into the real product. Don't give up on it. I would be greatly interested in reading your finished results. It's neat to see how other authors get their inspiration.

Yes I believe that can happen, infact it have happened to me a couple times that I had the urge to finish something after my dream. This may not be a good example but once I dreamt I was playing counter strike and when I woke up I had the urge to play it so I installed it again :D

The last week or so, it feels like I am dreaming from the moment my head hits the pillow to the moment my alarm goes off.
I've never really believed in dream imagery very much. Still ....
Some slightly disjoiinted images come over and over:
* Waiting in line to see someone, except I'm waiting in a very crowded pool. Treading water while bumping into the others. NOt difficult, just frusterating.
*Boats
* A woman in a white dress crying with her face covered by her hands.
*Walking through the halls of my high school while talking to my father about my relationships (or lack there of)
*Freddy Krueger (?)
*A city from "Lord of the Rings" but with modern conveniences.
I don't know if they mean anything but it is a little wierd.

Dreams you see in your head are images that are "byproducts" of your brain's subconcious processes. In other words it is filtering out random information and dealing with more important information for processing into LTM (Long Term Memory) so the information can be remembered quickly in the future. Skills, walking and talking, were learned this way: trial and error and at night your brain would think of the problem and use already known information to work out a solution, so the next day, you are farther along to solving the problem.
During this process the brain filters out the random unimportant stuff (information, images or emotions) in the form of imagery on the visuospatial sketchpad (the mind's eye / what you see in the dream) to effectively "shift it aside".
In other words: it means nothing and it is better to ignore those dreams. If you focus/worry about them they stay in the head, and will only end up dreaming them again as your brain will once again "push them aside".

Hmm...Excelent advice Darkwolf.
So, vivid dreams. They can actually mean something but I don't know about yours Howler.
I had a dream about this strange guy. He had very long slightly curled blonde hair. On his right eye there was a metal thing, you know like a cyborg. On that side of his face he had huge scars all down his cheek. His left eye was coal black and slitted He wore a gold trimmed waist coat, tight black pants, knee high black leather boots and A long black cape. His skin was pale and all in all his image gave me the chills. I knew he was evil.
Later he completely transformed. He still had the knee high boots and he still had the tight black pants. He now wore a loose long sleeved dress shirt with a light blue vest over it. The dress shirt was a paled out red, almost white. Not pink. His hair had changed to silvery blonde instead of just plain blonde. He did not have a single scar on his face the metal thing was gone and his eyes were Bleech I mean absolutely the most penatrable blue ever possibly imagined. His skin was Ivory. He was a vampire i know that much.
The next day at school at lunch, He strayed into my mind and I could sense his presence. I couldn't see him though. It made me shiver. That night when I was over at my moms friends house fixing my semi-formal dress, Once I keeled over in bed, I cought myself thinking of him again and again I felt his presence.
Last night (2/1) when I was telling my sister about the dream I cought a glimpse of something white pass by the window through the crack in the curtain...
Well? Any Ideas? I'm very confused.
Howler, I can't help you much. I use storylines to see what your mind may hide.
Water is sometimes associated with emotions. If you're treading water, it may mean that you're trapped in your emotions, but are able to keep your head above water. Bumping into people may signify that you know you aren't alone in this. Waiting to see someone... beats me. As do the others.
However...
The cyborg implant could mean you see the guy as more intelligent than you. The scars and such would refer to character flaws showing physically.
Changing, becoming flawlessly evil?
The white passing by your window is an overactive imagination. It may have been a headlight as a car passed by.

I am gonna try and link all these together, just for fun. Ok, like MoC said, treading through water can be related to emotions, and the bumping into others meaning you're not alone. You could see the boats as a way of escaping this emotional turmoil, a way to rise above them since boats do that whole floating thing. A woman in a white dress crying could signify a type of loss of innocense, perhaps. White being of innocense, the woman crying over the loss. Which is where your father steps in. You could view him as a lifeline, someone who's been there and done that and could give you advise, whether you're in a relationship or suffering the lack thereof. Freddy Krueger has long since been associated with fear, so you may fear the relationship or lack thereof. Finally, in the modern convient Lord of the Rings city, could signify you looking into the past from now, a type of 'If I knew then what I know now' kinda thing.
So to tie it all up all neat and purdy, you could be looking back on a relationship with the attitude of "If I knew then what I know now" because you have the feeling that someone cheated on you or cheated you, perhaps thereby losing their or your own innocense so you look for someone who could advise you in this situation because you fear that you won't achieve the ability to rise above this emotional turmoil that frustrates you so. Yeah, I think that does it. *shrugs*

I've had blinky dreams like that too, lately. Kinda weird...
1) Dad pulling down a machine off the shelf downstairs
2) My parents hitting me and screaming at me about something
3) Sitting alone, staring at the night sky in a room thats not mine
4) My boyfriend, looking at me from a distance with tears in his eyes, turning and walking away slowly with his head hung low
theres more but I cant really remember them at the moment
