Personally, my beliefs are this philosophy is inconsistant, and always changing. There is no truth and there is no wrong unless applied to an individual's extreme beliefs.

(There, Dark, we can continue this with other's input and you being able to have you time for long winded speeches without interupting other topics.)

...my beliefs are this philosophy is inconsistant... "...this philosophy is inconsistent"? I don't understand. You mean your personal philosophy, or philosophy as a whole encompassing what Man has come to define it as?

No thanks.

Well of course it is always changing, it is unique to every person.

One word to you Morgana, your not niave, but you certainly are... what's the word... ah i'll come up with it later on >.<

Of course philosophy changes, because of each person who developes it as Dark Wolf says.

"Consistantcy is the last refuge of unimaginative minds"

Yeah, something like that phrase >.<

"Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is an absurd one."
Voltaire

Yes, philosophy changes, it is different for each and every person. However, it is a good thing to be able to see the other side of an issue.

"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it."
Aristotle

"I dream, let me dream on" - Nietzsche

Philosophy... is what we make of it. It is the individual taking an idea, and molding it to fit their own view of the world.

Whether they see it logically or not is up to them, but presumably it makes sense to them, although not always to those around them.

Ah, yes, Oscar Wilde! Well, close anyway. Not to pick nits, but it's just a bit different really: "Consistency is the last refuge of the unimaginative."

For more of his genius, see one of my posts in the Serious Quotes thread: Oscar Wilde Quotes (http://www.werewolf.com/vb/showthread.php?p=370 13#post37013).

Truth be known, philosophy is completely logical, but humans do not want to alter their limited perspective of the world, so it seems to be illogical.

Ill post here simply because usaly im quiet, and kept to myself unless i see a thread that interests me. I have no fancy cliches from great poets or philosiphers long since dead. Im simply a working man with my own opinion on things of this world.
Logic is mans way of dealing with, things he can, or cannot explain. And of course logic is constantly changing, logic is simply an a opinion in the eye of the beholder. And opinions change. Try to explain what you see. Try to understand it. Or just accept what you see for what it is or how it has happened

Very true. For the most part, if you make a philosophical claim, you will be asked to back it up, and to do that you need to use logic. People will dismiss your claim if you argue it using flawed logic. Just look at the Euthyrpho Dillemma thread for an example. (http://www.werewolf.com/vb/showthread.php?t=369 9)
