Oo my first thread - how exciting! and I'm thinking it might be in the wrong place.

I have an interest in Hermetic lore, actually my specific interest is in a specific part of Hermetic lore, known as the Monte Libyco.

Has anyone on here actually read the Corpus Hermeticum which is sometimes known simply as the Hermetica?

I'd be interested to hear the thoughts of anyone who has, I'm afraid I haven't been able to locate a copy yet for my own library. As I said, I'm especially interested in the Monte Libyco (the Libyan Mountain - believed to be a representation of the Great Pyramid by some).

Sorry if I put this in the wrong place.

A chronicler of pagan lore, Clement of Alexandria, stated thirty-six of the Hermetic books contained the entire Egyptian philosophy; four books on astrology; ten books called the Hieratic on law, ten books on sacred rites and observances, two on music, and the rest on writing, cosmography, geography, mathematics and measures and training of priests. Six remaining books concerned medicine and the body discussing diseases, instruments, the eyes and women.

The books are lore, but their content is philosophy. It could fit into both categories equally, so it is not the wrong place. ;)
