Good or bad? Why? How much do you think you're being lied to everyday? Other thoughts?

Personally, I hate lying. I don't lie. Well, I do lie little white lies, like I'm going to the store for some bread and I really wanted to go to stop at the comic store too. When it comes to anything else, I don't lie. I get lied to a lot. Everyone does. Everyone lies. It's pretty natural to do it. We always try to present the best foot forward and sometimes lying is the only way. I say my best foot is the one I've got, so good or bad, that's what I put out there. There's no point in lying to me, it only leads to other lies which lead to other lies and eventually you can't even remember what the first lie was. You always get caught, eventually.

Cor there is such a debate about this at work at the moment - someone in my bay recons everyone lies.

Okay - I do lie a bit - but I try and be as true as possible. I try and be truthful about things, but I also try not to be hurtful. Its a difficult juggling act - and I'm not as altruistic as that - but I try to do this. Ironically (and this really annoys me) I find the people who are most critical about my choices are those who just seem to be blatently out to hurt people as often as possible!

I can't tell a lie...no actually thats a lie, I have lied a few times, but I wouldn't call them lies, that sounds far to dramatic. I occassionally tell fibs, but mostly I don't even do that. I hate lying, or fibbng it makes me feel guilty...however I don't feel guilty about telling a half truth.

I have known people who are compulsive liars - they dont seem able to tell the truth at all - and they are always big lies too!

I try to tell the truth because I am just too lazy. I find it easier if people know how I feel. I find it easier to just accept the consequences when I have done something wrong. Too damn lazy I guess.

Well the way I see it is most people dont do anything wrong - or at least people do the dumbest things because they think there is a good reason to do it - no matter how bizzarre the logic.
