My mother lives about 65 miles south of me, but still calls me on occasion. I was at work, and I got a call from her. She asked me if I had seen the video of the US civilian (Nick Berg) who had his head chopped off with a 5 or 6 inch blade.
I searched on the internet, and found it. I was not surprised really, as terrible as it is what happened, this is a war. These kinds of things happen.
I just feel bad for the family that this kid belonged to. Could you imagine being a father or mother and knowing that your son had his head cut off with a steak knife?

It was hardly a steak knife and while the act was brutal I have to say that after viewing the video he suffered very little and was actually killed fairly quickly. From what other instances of torture that people in the Middle East have acted out this was actually a kindness. But I am not saying that they are justified and I think it's rather hideous that their only recourse of striking back was to decapitate a non-military person. Sad really, and I am sure his family is having to suffer with the video being broadcast all over the place.

Sorry. Kind of hard to tell with the poor quality of the video. I also agree. This is not the most barbaric thing to happen.
I feel like an ass now. The last thing I wanted was to purvey this video any further on the net. Sorry about that LH. I'll keep it clean from now on.....
