Last night I had a strange dream. I was walking through a thick wooded area (I live in the desert oddly) And I remember there was this small creek so I sat down at the edge and I gazed into the water. When I slowly gazed up I saw a huge wolf sitting upon a boulder on the otherside of the creek gazing softly at me. The wolf was pure ebony with emerald eyes with a white mark upon the chest. I heard something speak within my mind and I heard a voice, "Darkness lies further more clearly soon a light will lead you the way shall you follow the path?" The voice was of a male and the voice was kindof rather, "soft" (i'm not really that good at stating voices lol.) I remember he said a few more things but that sentence I clearly remembered.

I suppose it might be rude to ask what you were during the dream - human or animal?
I'm no expert with this, but I will make a few guesses. Water in a dream means a sense of clarity, while the woods mean peace. Both the wolf and the speech probably mean to follow what you believe to be the most correct choice: the white mark on an ebony animal's chest showing the purity of the heart and it's choices, the rock underneath strength. The fact that the voice was calm and soft means you should be able to trust it.

Wow... your smart.
I thought I was the smart one. *grumbel*
How are you so knowledgeable about dreams? Did you take a dream reading class... or... something?

As a dream enthusiast I find your dream to be absoultely fascinating! I must say I wet myself, which happens on occasion. Anyhoot, enough about me, and more about your dream! The thick wooded area would tell me about your childhood and the frustration you had. The wood representing a father figure and thick represting encagement.
The small creek is said to symbolize a new begining. However, the fact that you were on the edge, means that you are not ready to recieve the responsiblilities yet, however the gazing is your longing for these new beginnings to become reality. Having the wolf talk to you is the extraordinary part of this dream! It is very rare for a wolf to communicate with the dreamer, as you should take that advice VERY seriously! I repeat: VERY seriously.
It reminds me of a saying a friend of mine used to say:
"Two creeks in one man's valley is one more sparkle than a young deer should encounter"
The wolf never lies. The wolf never lies. And if you should ever encounter the wolf again, try to approach him in silence. Do not be afraid. Let him speak, and perhaps you can share your knowlege of the creek.
