View Full Version : Name Your Favorite Python Sketch
I think it's relatively fair to assume most of us have seen something Pythonesque.
Mine is the "We Were Poor" sketch from Monty Python Live at City Center and Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl.
Name your favorite.

I'm not sure, it wouldn't be anything live, but either the Spanish Inquisition sketch, the famous parrot sketch or the Hell's grannies. They're all class :D

So it's not really a sketch, but The Holy Grail is SO my favorite Monty Python thing.

That's a fav of mine.
But I'd have to go with the Silly Walks, the Ministry of Abuse, and the parrot.
"You nailed its feet to the perch!"
"Oh, that's so it won't fly away."
Gumby
and "Death" from "The Meaning of Life"

The Holy Grail rocks. However, the sketch with the dead parrot is the best.
"It's sleeping."
Bangs the bird on the counter. "Wake up, birdy. HELLO! It's dead!!!"

My personal favorite.."The teeth, and the fur and the fangs...and...LOOK AT THE BONES!"
As soon as I saw this post as I thought "DEAD PARROT!". Had forgotten about silly walks, and of course, Funniest Joke in the World.

In The Holy Grail, the French.
Arthur: We wish for him (your lord) to join us on our quest for the Holy Grail.
Frenchmen: Uh...he's already got one!"
Aurthur: Already got one?
Frenchmen: Uh, yes it's uh very nice! *leans to his buddies on the other side of the wall* I told 'im we already got one. *the French snicker*
AND
Frenchmen: Your mother was hampster and your father smelled of elderberries!
Pretty much all the scenes.with the French and the killer bunny. :D

Actually, I'm not a big fan of the Spanish Iquisition skecth. Now, the Boring Life of An Accountant, I seem to remember liking that.
