“The insanity of a man can not be measured in his madness, but by what is accomplished in his madness, as those who are truly man shall accomplish great things, as the weight and oppression of society and the world itself doesn’t bear down upon them hindering there results so the more successful you are the less you are in touch with the outside word, this is the same for workaholics and periods of disconnection we all have from the world at different times in out life be it in grief or success so in that respect aren’t we all a little bit mad ? To truly be sane you must be a failure, which in fact can act as a paradox as failure can drive people insane, oh what a complicated life this is that we all lead”

anyone agree ? disagree ?

I completely disagree. For an example of why I disagree: take a look at life around you and you will find all the proof you need.

There are millions of people who are successful (albeit in different ways) and are sane. To be successful in this modern life you need to have focus and patience. Two things insanity cannot provide.

I think you should take a look at what insanity means. The very definition proves you wrong.

First, what is the quote from, or whom?

As for anything with insanity, a shrink will find something wrong with the most "sane" of men.

Also, genius usally has some messure of insanity, even if it's only depression.
