Mood Swings.

So answer me this, why is that the males of the species get these huge moodswings. They turn from sweethearts to utter asses. I mean with a seconds time. There attitude just shifts with a single word, a movie (Which was my experiance), and many of other things.
Where as females only get worse when in heat, I persionally get more abusive then.
Am I strange to thing such, or is this perfectly normal? This is the first time I have been with a wolf. We have been together for 4 years, and our pack simply adores our union. (I came into his pack.)
I usually date those of the vampiric clans, but I think I like this change much better ;)

I wouldn't say it's just the males.... Females are infamous for their mood swings. Body chemistry goes crazy... could be part of natural body processes, something amiss... could even be because of the weather (or the fact that I use .... a lot!).

females are a lot worse sometimes I know some of my friends get evil or don't want to be touched and snap out at people. It just depends on the were. I get happy and very sensitive (body wise) when its my period unless I have cramps but thats a whole different story.

Good, a nice and easy question. The answer is hormones. Testosterone creates agression, this was used back in our monkey days where the males kept control of groups and defended them. Women get PMT due do a drastic change in hormone levels also women can get moody can get angry at other times as even women has testosterone. Of course is less than the males and is kept under control by oestrogen. Older women take HRT to keep oestrogen in their blood to combat the effects of testosterone not being under control ie facial hair.

Men have horrible moodswings, wheather they like to admit it or not. I find it funnier then hell how one minute they love and the next they are asses and act very immature. Men are constantly putting women down, and calling them names or nagging at them for their mood changed, when really we are the ones who should be doing the name calling (really both sides shouldnt). Females have a right for their moodswings- PMS, period, pregnant, stres, horny, time of the year...several things play into it. Men are more senstive then women are in my personal opinion. Then again women are more butal and hostile...*evil grin*

I would have to agree with Devilish on this one....well....exp. for the justification of being bitchy due to PMS. Yet, I will keep a cascious stance when I am aware of this senario(Friend PMSing).

You see, men are in a constant state of hormonal discomfort, though, It has been proven to go in cycles.Men are excessively moody, In concur.These are generalizations based on natural observations.

Women Brutal and hostile? A lot of people would laugh that off, say that's silly, but those guys are quite possibly utter, unrational, closeminded morons.

You see, Males usually prefer the physical aggression over the psychological. Where as a male is more likely to beat your ass in, a female is more likely to devise an elaberate plan( of, usually, revenge or sadistic aggression) to make your social life complete hell...that or toy with your emotions, it's really all the same thing.

That is, of course, not to say a female willn't claw you to death. Or even that all females are great stratigists...there are merely different playing grounds.


Aggressive, egotistical, and selfconfident males are probably the easiest target when looking for a victum of psychological warfare...These types are easily wounded in such a way that they will resort to physical violence. Chick says "coward", guy says "*smack*".

The stupidest thing, is when a female screws(mentally) with an unstable male of this nature and ends up, in turn, getting screwed(physically). Then wonders why he did such.

I would have to state, yes, Females are generally smarter...atleast more clever.

It is indeed two-faced to say"Guys are so moody due to hormones, girls have a reason to be." or "Girls are so moody" and continue ranting like a baby after beating your wife. Take a moment to think about this if guys, as in males, whos primary difference is their sex organs, sexorgans that produce hormones, if they act like more moody what are the variables here? What is this difference that makes these males more moody if it isn't a hormone that would justify their bitchiness?

I would say, males are more moody, but when a female is PMSing(if they get really bad PMS), preggers, horny, ect...I would say they can become so moody as to make it equal, in average, to the common day of masculine moodiness. That is, a guy could be moody more often, but when a girl is moody, she could be so horribly moody as to ballence out with the guy who keeps a day to day moodiness level. Keeping in mind this is a generalization. Also, keeping in mind testosterone related moodiness goes in cycles.

I would like to add, sex is one of the more minor factors.

I had a friend, a ladies man. He'd flirt with all the girls, they loved him too. One night he introduced me to this lovely blonde. When she noted she was not supposed to be talking to males and excused herself, He pulled her back by the hair. this happend multiple times.
I was actually shocked at the site, he was a bit of a nice boy too. At least towards me.

Now, as you can see this physical disgrace and how he thought little of it,btw he thought little of it, you may be able to understand he did something dreadfully offencive physically out of ignorance, or common jesture.

Now, females do this as well, yet you can't merely do physically degrading things to a person unknowingly. You can also do horrible psychological things to a person, unknowingly.

I see females often degrade their male companions in an inverted way this male degraded his female companion. Now you might not find it offencive, but this male might be more equipt to handle physical abuse, not the mental.
Next time you condemn a male for acting sensitive, ask yourself if you've been playing mindgames, or toying with him, but most important, ask if you've been insensitive to his psyche.

Also. If I was to generalise males off of myself, I would say they are excessively weak and sensitive individuals, and that females are horrible, heartless vixens.

And yes, I am a weak and excessively sensitive person, that is, untill I developed my schizoidal trants of not giving a shit about anyone concerning me, and my complete and utter distaste for close human relationships. ^.^ go ahead....Kill them all, of course I'm empathic, It willn't make a difference though. It does sometimes contradict with my Christian philosophy of all-loving. But you see, I don't become inimate, I am completely immune.

Oh Jesus H Christ I remember this thread. Venomwolf is very correct and I will tell you- she bitches a lot. But usually her rants are justified and rather amusing to listen to. She in general is amusing to listen to.

I dont really think it has much to do with whether or not your Therian. I personally notice that I once became more aggressive, hostile, and energized during the newmoon- that was also when my moontide would come around. But now its switched back over to the full moon. My body runs with the moon- and not by choice. I'm very much a solar person by nature, however my emotions and body seems to be more influenced by the moon.

Maybe Therian's have a more extream way of dealing with sensations and emotions. I wouldnt really know personally. I know my familiar is a large feline- I have 3 familiars, and they all come about at different times. Mostly depending on my mood and the situation at hand.

Now my mind is stirring.


I think women are more prown to mood swings rather than just having them out of sheer sensitivity. Its been my expierence that there are certain or several topics that can strike a man to turn the complete opposite from what he was before you mentioned said topic. I think they are more prown to taking offense to something such as sexuality, religion, social party, and their toys (such as cars, trucks, lawn mowers, gajets and gizmo's of sorts).

I think women can be more harsh than men and more violent on a verbal and mental level than a physical one- but thats not to dismiss the fact that we can be just as violent physically, and cause a similar amount of damage. Women tend to be more tactful I think, when it comes to our vengeful sides and take the time to plot out the demise of our targetted enemy.

Men on the other hand seem to be more sloppy, and instead of waiting and collecting their plans to set in motion, take immediate action. Either they win, or fail miserably and walk away with even more of a wounded ego than they started out with. But this again, isnt to say that men cant do damage. I've had my share of abuse from men. Sometimes they can be even worse than women.

I think men are more private about their emotions due to socities forced belief that men are suppose to be the stronger, wiser, and able to handle more than the delicate female. Pardon me but that is utter bullshit. Men have just as much of a right to express themselves and be moody as women do.

Anyone is intitled to mood swings. But no one has to stand there and take the abuse, if any is being dished out.

If your going to be a bitch, be the best bitch possible. If your going to be an asshole, make sure there isnt anything, sharp, heavy, or blunt within her reach...and make sure you can run faster.
