I am a practiceing pagan, I belive in harnessing universal energies that all things put forth in order to manifest my will. But is this fair? If I am useing energy that has been unknowly set out from another, being am I stealing from them?In accordence with the Buddist/Dowist belives that we all are recycled energy and with my own belives that once we all reach the seventh astral plane that in reality we will be one spectral enity it is no crime against another as it is no crime against me when others hraness my energies along with the universal energies. Yet for those who do not belive such a craft and therefore do not pratice it, they feel betrayed if it were not for their own ignorence on the subject. Or do they simply loose their say by denouceing such belives. Is it some kind of cosmic take a penny leave a penny tray, it's there if you need it kind of a matter?

So what say the council; recycleing or spiritual high-way robbery? Or shuold I just go back to my cabin in the woods and stop frightining the towns folk?

What the hell are you on about?

Or perhaps to simplify: What are you on?

Which then begs the question: Why aren't you sharing?

You're not frightening us. Nonetheless, I vote for exile to the woods.

First and foremost it is spelled Buddhist and Buddhism and DAOISM (not dowism) are two very different and seperate religions. Second of all, Pagans do not all believe in using energy simply for personal gain. You may be of the Erisian Church, m'dear but some of us 'other' pagans still follow the old ways. So please research what you are prior to making all encompassing generalization and imposing them on others.

Religion is a very old concept, and I feel that it's unfair to say that someone is not of a particular religion simply because the mainstream does things a bit differently. Believe as you will as long as you feel its right, and of course, you are not hurting yourself or others.

I do not believe that using universal energy is akin to stealing. When energy is released, it doesn't just simply disappear, but gets re-absorbed by its surroundings. Oftentimes, when a great amount of spiritual energy is released it can take an emmense amount of time for it to be 'used up' again. Sort of like the whole recycling thing. Harnessing universal energy would be like claming a chunk of air. It's all around us with no name tag on it. Anyone is welcome to it. We use it, release it, and it ends up back in the system. Do what you must do, my friend.

I'm giving this until this time tomorrow (time of this post + 24 hours) for the author (and only the author) to explain precisely why this is philosophy and/or be more clear or it will be removed.

Unless a good conversation brews, of course, in which case it will remain active but probably moved to a different forum.

Yes hon, I know I can't spell.I only put the two together for their simmilar veiws on the after life i.e. the death and rebirth cycle. And second of all. If I were to bless my friend's home and land, it would not be to my personal gain but it would be my will. I never use rituals for things like money, love,or to gain possesions. So don't blindly accuse me. And I call us all pagans in the face of the general reader who would'nt know there is a differance in the factions so take no offence.

I felt it philosophy was the only place to post this, because I'm asking your philosophy on a subject I have just explained to you.Delete it if you want, I doubt many others will understand this post

Yeah, it's like this kickass computer I have sitting in my room. It's really just a bunch of complicated parts put together. And if I threw it on the floor and ran over it with a lawnmower, the complicated parts would still be there, but the kickass thing that actually works wouldn't be.

I say just go back to the cabin, but since halloween is in a couple of days you should hang around and scare the people a bit longer.

The post is barely explained, and only briefly touches philosophy. While it does have a potential for interesting discussion I find it has much greater potential for off-topic posts and insults.

I will be closing this. However if you or anybody can properly explain your point and questions and provide opportunity for philosophical discussion then please feel free to make a new thread.

I am closing this thread. This isn't because the subject is unwelcome here, but only because it is not properly explained and isn't promoting philosophical discussion and provides only openings for posts that could be off-topic or offensive.
