OK so I was hunting for something else but came across a bit of something interesting in this book on alchemy. It says that if one can combine the purest metals to trnasform lead into gold then one can take such a metal and extract a pure substance and liquid from the gold that will thereby enable a person to transform to any animate shape they desire. It goes on to say that in that form you would be capable of retaining cognizant and coherent thought but would be able to adapt yourself to that of the chosen shape and enable you to perform the tasks that you desire.

No alchemist or wizard was said to have been able to perform such a feat except for Merlin. Many others before and after him tried and failed, the failure usually resulted in death.

Yeah... they say that. Actually, if you read a lot of medieval mythology, you realize that alchemy was as much a spiritual journey as a financial one. It was said that the process of learning it, realizing it, and then doing it would have such transmutative properties on the psyche of the person doing it that they would almost have no need for gold once it was completed. It was thought that any substance could be stripped down into dark, inert blank matter, and then built back up into another one. That's what they try to do with lead. It's supposedly so heavy it has leftover mass to make gold with.
The truth is, it IS possible to turn lead into gold with electromagnets and subatomic electron manipulation... but such a process would cost millions of dollars just to produce a VERY small amount of gold. So technically, alchemy is possible. It's just completely usesless.

Now i remember why i flunked chemistry.

and the gold would also be very radioactive, so i've been told.

here is a simple idea to put in yer head.... go and look on the periodic table... and every unit of weight in difference between gold an lead (thats just in an atom) takes .0004 lbs of force to change it so for something substantial... lets say a handfull.. roughly 10lbs of lead to gold... would take almost... 9,000,000lbs of force.... simple newton transfer formulas bring that to roughly....88,000,00 0 PSI now sure we can create that now.... but it is highly doubtfull that ANYONE would be able to sustain that amount of force in an archaic lab.... but thats me... if anyone has the actual formulas for what I posted.. please attach them... I sold my chem book lol...Im broke!!!

For the love of god, someone should destroy that periodic table.
