View Full Version : Media bias in Iraq
This article is too long to post here but I STRONGLY encourage everyone to seek it out. Its fascinating, factual, and extremely timely. For anyone who has ever wondered about the accuracy of the 'news' we recieve every evening this will be excellent reading. Remember that when it comes to the news everyone must do a sanity check and use common sense before swallowing what some random with a pretty face and nice teeth calls 'news'.

Oh, its already been posited that there are two notions that embody the Iraq situation. There is the overt and the covert. Overtly, the Bush administration does not contribute, monetarily, to the election in Iraq- covertly is another story. It used to be that it would be harder to determine the covert portion but lately it isn't that hard since Ossama Bin Laden has been reported to be either "alive or dead" as indicative of what "news" is and presidential posturing as also definitive of his leanings toward Iraqi presidential appointment. Hey, we are nation building, folks!

All I can say with the Iraqi elections taking place is that I hope this doesn't turn out like it did in so many other latin american countries with elections being manipulated. Yes the media has taken a bias but what else can they do, if they report it like it is they will be labeled as "un-american".
I'm not referring to the elections so much as the overall anti-us/coalition forces, yay for the death toll tone of most news agencies.
