I don't mean to be nosey ,but i have a question

if you were to become a werewolf today would you want to be one that walks on 2 legs ,or one that walks on all 4 legs and looks like a real wolf

Now there's a question...

Now, for all coolness and the best of both worlds, I suppose the upright wolf would be a good choice. Then again, it is kinda messed up when you think about it. Think if we were all wolves making up stories about wolves who could become men. Just imagine how the wolves would make the men look (a goofy wolf with human ears?). So an upright wolf would be... a tad odd.

Then again, normal wolf would be more practical and discreet and better for actually being a wolf. I'd be better off going for a run in the woods as a regular wolf than a werewolf.

Full wolf. There are many things you can't do as a werewolf. Walk around, ect. Although it would be easier to prove your existance, I'd prefer to be able to just wander around. Anyway, upright isn't easy to balance and I'd think it's a little too slow, compared to a wolf.

Why is this in DREAMS?

I would say both because it is better to walk on two legs but faster to run on four... That is a pretty hard question...

Hmmm... Can't have both

If I can only choose one, then full wolf. Upright furry Biped(unless much stronger, etc) doesn't have enough abilities diff. from a reg. human to be a benefit, but has all the downsides (look like a monster, etc).

It depends... I'd be a werewolf on 2 legs if I looked something like, I dunno, J. Talbain (if you don't know who that is, look at lordragoon's avatar). However, if I knew other werewolves and we were in a pack or something, I'd be a full wolf so we could like, run around everywhere.

hey....full wolf without a doubt...i'd stay as a wolf more than not...humans are slow and dumb and unbalanced...plus you get to be naked all the time...fangs....the senses even more so hightened...i hate movies that try and make bi-pedal werewolves look good...if you ask me they all look like shit...i.e. underworld..what a fuckin flop

Why is this in DREAMS?

At least I am not the only one who noticed that.

If you had a dream about a wolves, (which is why this post should have been here, other wise this would have been betrter in another fourm),it's a sign that danger threatens around each full moon, especially the next one.

Call me old fashioned, or undecided, but i think a combination of the two would be best, kinda like a bear. Sure, the pure wolf form gives you speed and discretion, but you also get power behind being able to show off size. Plus more fun to go hunting in both forms: animals as a pure wolf, and humans as a were wolf.

I agree that Hollywood has done a terrible job on the bipedel werewolf, but if you read werewolf history, you'd see most cases, (not native american, but most others) the werewolf could stand on two legs or run on four. I think that is what I'd like best.

I'd run on all four but stand on 2 if i got really angry or something.. Er i mean, I do run on all four and stand on 2 when i'm angry ;)

Just to let you know, there are acctually five forms to a werewolf.
the first is the human form. The second is a human for that manifests many characteristics of the wolf. The third is the up right wolf. The fourth is a little more close to the full animal form; however, the were is still upright. The fifth form is the animal form. In the animal form the wolf creature is two or three times the size of the norml wolf.

Not to start an argument, but I would go for a werewolf configuration as long as my legs stay the same shape. If you watch martial arts movies or acrobats at work, you can see the advantages of being human; grace, agility, speed, and a unique body that has a fairly high level of intelligence backing it up to add coordination to the mix. That plus the strength, speed, and senses of the wolf form combined with the problem solving abilities of humans makes for a potentially graceful, powerful, intelligent, and incredibly versitile being, what with the opposible thumbs and all.

But, that's just my opinion.

Chosen children take on the form of there brother or sister wolf, yet to feel the full soul of nature you must be wolf, creatures in movies with man- wolf like in American werewolf in London dont exist and neither do Physical shifters, The only true werewolf is the form a shifter takes in there dreams or the astral plains.. Remember be wolf to feel a conection with the mother that created all, Gaia. :notworthy

No matter what kind of lycan we are, no matter what form we take, or how we take on that form, we are all brothers and sisters of the same life force. We are all connected by what we are, and by so much more. And I am not going to be the one to say a p-shifter does not exist, untill I have proof that they do not exist, I have no reason to think that. I do believe there may yet be a p-shifter among us, I could very well be one, but I cannot say because I dont know how to know. Maybe I am too open minded, or I may be just a dream-shifter, I cannot say. I still believe I have much more to learn about what I am before I can be sure. I do know we come in many forms, and to try and say that there is a specific number of forms is simply gullibal in my opinion. I believe there are infinate forms of therians, and there are still others we donnot know of yet.

Okay. You can be both. I'm both. You have you lupus and your crinos form. (yes I may be sounding like the White Wolf RPG but its true for me.) So when you ask which one I would be, I couldn't give a straight answer, because I shift both, I'm still a were. (in d-shift that is) But if i were to P-shift, it would be easier on me to be full wolf most of the time, I mean... what happens to anything out in the open when humans don't know what it is and think it is a threat to their family? They kill it, or atleast try to. Now my wolf form would be easily mistaken for a dog since I'm not the normal grey/white/red color, but just a black coat with white and grey points. So it would be easier to just walk around, be mistaken as a stray dog and not be killed. As for being in crinos. I rarely shift into crinos unless I'm in the woods or in a place where most of the people know what I am. Or if I'm gunna fight something big.. like another were in crinos.

And another thing to add, something about that Rhia said sparked this reply. I don't hunt humans, simply because THEIR ARE KIN. why would you hunt your family? I mean sure, their different in many ways then us but why would you hunt and kill your own lineage?

Okay, second thought: In all the werewolf pictures I've seen, were's have longer arms then legs, so they would run on 4 legs and stand up on 2 anyhow. (Kind of like a primate.) They have a C-shape spine like primates as well. Or atleast they choose to have one.

And the in between crinos/lupus form is called Hipso. Here I got this off of a site:

Garou have 5 forms, Homid (human), Glabro (75% human, 25% wolf, your basic Hollywood werewolf), Crinos (the war form, 50% human, 50% wolf, usually about 7-10 feet in height), Hispo (dire wolf form, a large wolf), and Lupus (the wolf form). Now Garou can automatically shift to their "breed form" (what they were born as).

so. ya.

I like the idea of the forms you see in White Wolf.... they'd all serve their purpose, but in general when I shift (dream or mental only... thus far....) I'm mostly animal.... Think Lion King. I'm an animal, but I can talk, I can hold things in my 'hands' or point. I'd love to be a wolf, but I just can't stand the thought of having to let a perfectly good chance to wedgie someone because I can't grip their waist strap with anything but my teeth.... and honestly, do YOU want to chew on underpants, NOT beling to you, while they are still on the ass?....didn't think so.

if it were me i would want to be on all fours, but be able to stand up and use hands and stuff

Well, technically a Loup Garou has the ability to run on all fours like the actual animal, but it can also stand on two legs like a human. But if I had to choose only one form, I would definetely go with the more animal form, and run around on 4 legs. I consider bipeds WAY too unbalanced...

4 legs all the way

Though it would be better if i had bulging muscles in my wolf form, like the one in my avy
