Silvercat, your worldviews are fresh, innovative, and brilliant in a way too rarely seen on this once green planet. Please type more sweet words, for I believe that I have fallen in love with you by the quality of your posts.

It's neither rabbit season nor duck season.

Thus, squid.

To whom, the ducks or the rabbits?

Now, see, you're falling into the same trap I described in a previous thread we happened to have an exchange in...

Allow me to demonstrate.

BY WHOM?

Are you suggesting that you yourself are willing to go probe the psyche of the giant squid in its natural habitat in order to make it more comfortable with yummy, squishy, edible humans?

Um, yeah, I almost ran over a cub in WV running across the highway. It seemed to know what it was doing, almost as if it had learned how the highway worked, even without me slowing down. I don't really think this argument applies to the giant squid.

But mostly I find it almost comic that we care so much that animals are acting differently when I'm sure the animals find it strange the way we act. It's just the bizarre happenings of nature I think, nothing to get worked up over. But perhaps we should be a tad more wary of getting our heads taken off from jumping squid! :P

Just for that, hoc<subscript, cause that's how chemical equations work>2, I'm going out for calamari.

I'm pretty sure you're right.

Just a suggestion, but you might want to lurk a bit to get a feel for a board before you start posting about getting all butt-hurt because someone wasn't nice to you.

Also, are you somehow comparing bears to squid, because that's just odd.

I wasn't aware anyone was getting worked up anything. Are you suggesting we just ignore these "bizarre" things in nature, instead of trying to, oh I don't know, UNDERSTAND them.

It's no odder in some respects than experts who seem to think that a dog is somehow behaviorally similar to killer whales, elephants, chickens or pigeons.

You already told me I was cute. I hold you to that, since I've totally got the cuteness going for me. Cute greasy gut holding up my keyboard, cute fat fingers hammering away at various things....

Oh, on a biological note to keep things on track in this thread, what's the chemical notation of ethanol? I want to see if you can do subscripts.
